Live at Download Festival (2004)

El día 6 de Junio del 2004, horas antes de la presentación de Metallica en el Download Festival, Lars Ulrich tuvo que ser internado en un hospital aparentenmente por ingerir alimento en mal estado.

Para evitar cancelar el show y, por ende, el descontento y el riesgo de revueltas de los fans, Metallica decidió solicitar "ayuda" a Dave Lombardo de Slayer y Joey Jordison de Slipknot, quienes se encontraban en ese lugar con sus respectivas bandas, para que tocaran en reemplazo de Lars.

Tras media hora de retraso y un setlist reducido por razones obvias, Metallica apareció en escena donde James Heftield anunció que ese día Lars no iba a poder estar por un problema de salud, pero que sin embargo contaban con excelentes reemplazos. Y realmente no defraudan, sus perfomances son más que buenas.
